Queste quattro raccolte (denominate da distorsioni di titoli famosi ed opera personale di un meritorio blogger, cfr. http://spurensicherung.blogspot.com/, autore anche di altre belle compilazioni) offrono un variegato florilegio della psichedelia tedesca meno nota (e, finora, assai ben nascosta). Le compilazioni hanno il merito di delineare una scena secondaria (pochi i nomi noti) vivissima, e rendere, quindi, ragione della nascita dei maggiori gruppi tedeschi come Faust, Can, Popol Vuh, finora considerati separatamente da un alveo musicale, come detto, davvero fertile.
Parte del materiale raccolto è certamente derivativo dalla scena di lingua inglese (a volte sembra di sentire cascami di lavorazione di Morrison, Led Zeppelin, Cream ...), ma le sorprese sono parecchie e, in qualche caso, lasciano presagire produzioni di notevole livello (Staff Carpenborg, ad esempio). In generale un amante dei Settanta, tra organi, chitarre fuzzy, spruzzate orientali e deviazioni bislacche ha molto da godere.
Il paragone con il panorama italiano di allora, anche rispetto a questi minori, è impietoso; per la varietà, l'intelligenza, l'apertura mentale, le capacità vocali e strumentali. Lo dico per farmi amare sempre più da (alcuni) proggaroli italiani, che passano la vita a sentire e risentire e risentire Impressioni di settembre, credendola la canzone più bella del mondo.
